Jean Claude Van Damme, FEAR STREET + More Spotted in Netflix Sizzle Reel

Because of his big legs and karate? He can do the splits and Netflix…..no problem. And Fear Street? Actually looks a bit gnarly.

Netflix does these really awkward sizzle reel commercials now. They pile a bunch of movies together into a tiny clip, like the ones that used to try and sell DVD’s on DVD’s. Only they have the added awkward bonus of movie starts pretending they are just lounging at home eating popcorn, wowed like they’ve never seen color TV before.

Anyways, who cares because not only did we get a nice little look at R.L. Stine’s upcoming Fear Street but there’s more Jean Claude Van Damme coming!

I can’t tell you how psyched I was to see one of my all time favorites pop up out of nowhere. There’s a quick shot of the muscles from Brussels looking like he’s on the lamb with a Dr. Challis mustache probably holding a gun to a guy driving a cab. Then shows up at the end again as himself with the only non-awkward actor cameo in the whole damn thing. I haven’t heard of The Last Mercenary up to this point and there’s still no release date other than Summer, 2021 but IMDB has the plot as : A mysterious former secret service agent must urgently return to France when his estranged son is falsely accused of arms and drug trafficking by the government, following a blunder by an overzealous bureaucrat and a mafia operation.

We all know JCVD’s best movies are ones where he has to run to another country real quick to help out a relative. Think about it.

Shown in much more detail is R.L. Stine’s Fear Street, which will be a trilogy on Netflix starring Gillian Jacobs. Loving the skull look and the clip actually has some fangs in it. (EAGLE FANG! KAW! AITS!) One wonders just how horrific the show will be. Are we thinking corny but fun Goosebumps TV series or freaky and weird Are You Afraid of the Dark style? From the look of the clip it’s a little more adult than both. We’ll see, bitches. Sorry for calling you bitches. Here’s the trailer.
