Speaking with Deadline.com Marvel’s Kevin “Hard to spell or say my last name correctly” Feige gave some grim updates on both Marvel’s cancelled Netflix shows and the X-Men entering the Marvel franchise.

On Netflix shows like Daredevil, The Punisher, The Defenders, etc. Marvel found a way to tell darker, more adult stories that some of us really appreciated. I mean, The Punisher had some shit in it you weren’t going to see under the Disney umbrella typically. All of that was immediately in danger the second the partnership between Netflix and Marvel ended. Although many have campaigned that Marvel save Daredevil and other shows like it, Kevin “I can wear a hat to stock meetings because I’m so succesful now” Feige gave a crowd pleasing yet empty update:

Well, certainly you’ve seen what we announced at Comic-Con a year and half ago and on Disney Investor Day a few weeks ago, so that’s our focus. But I’ve been at Marvel long enough to never say never about anything.

Many are taking this as positive news but to me it sounds more like “I’m trying to promote WandaVision right now so I don’t want to piss anyone off but that shit ain’t happening.”

Besides there’s a shelf life on this sort of thing. These actors are getting older all the time, just like us. I pulled my back shampooing my hair the other day. I wasn’t even using Herbal Essence. I hate to be the negative guy on a Monday but I’m pretty sure those shows are gone forever like the Steelers playoff hopes in 2020. Whatever happens though, we’ll be to hear to make bad jokes and talk about it so be sure to subscribe to the newsletter below!
