Everything New To Netflix and Amazon Prime Today!

Did you get HBO Max? I did. Let me tell you that aside from the fact that it doesn't have compatibility with my smart TV yet, which is really *Throws remote control through living room window* FUCKING annoying (My wife is screaming from down the hall, wondering what's happening) the streaming app has LOADS of movies to peruse through (I'm going to be in a lot of trouble when she finds that). I had such a good time spending about an hour just adding movies to my list. It's definitely become the new streaming giant for viewers who prefer access to a vault of older films over original content. (My wife has now murdered me. I am dead.)

This is Mike's wife. He deserved it. You know it. I know it. Plus, he's a selfish lover. Here's what's streaming on Netflix and Amazon today.

Releasing on Netflix: June 1st, 2020:

I'm going to give it to you straight about Netflix. All the streaming platform seems to be doing is taking the same movies off just to put them back up again. In an era where HBO Max just debuted on the heels of Disney +, you might have expected a stronger showing than we've gotten in recent months. Apart from original content; The days of browsing Netflix for hours and adding old movies you'd forgotten about are long gone. Again, there's some good films here (our choices highlighted in bold) but I write this article monthly and all of these movies have been on the platform before, some of them just taken off a couple of months ago only to return as "new content". Get your shit together, Netflix!

Releasing on AMAZON PRIME June 1st, 2020:

Oh, Amazon. What the fuck? You aren't doing much better than Netflix. By the way, is anybody else annoyed when you go to browse Prime these days that half of the sections are "Buy or rent"? Bitch, what am I paying for Prime video for? I could rent a movie anywhere! The inner consumerist Karen is really coming out in me today. I think it's these weak ass movie selections. Four out of five of Amazon Prime's WWAM selections are raunchy comedies because with all the wild and scary shit going on in the world today, I've found that really stupid Adam Sandler movies are actually a welcome reprieve: "Nudie magazine day! Nudie magazine day!" (Billy Madison isn't listed here, so that was kind of a dick move by me) Pay attention to the end though because Amazon does step up their game with some good titles later in the month. Unlike Netflix.
