Mel Gibson to Star in DANGEROUS Alongside Scott Eastwood, Kevin Durand, Tyrese & Famke Janssen
According to Deadline.com , Mel Gibson has another project in the works following up his turn as a badass Santa Clause fighting off a hitman in Fatman. That's a real thing. Our review will be up later today (so be sure to subscribe to the newsletter at the very bottom, bub). This time around for Gibson it's action thriller DANGEROUS alongslide a slew of other noteable names.
Dangerous will star Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad), Kevin Durand (The Strain), Famke Janssen (Goldeneye) and Tyrese Gibson (The Fate of the Furious, Moesha) and be directed by Saw V's David Hackl.
According to Deadline the plot synopsis smells like: "Eastwood will play a reformed sociopath who, after the death of his brother, heads to a remote island which soon falls under siege from a deadly gang of mercenaries. Forced to fend for himself, he discovers their role in his brother’s demise and sets off on a relentless quest for vengeance."
Now we have to play a game of who's who because both Gibson and Durand would be believable as deadly mercenaries. This would be the first time Gibson was a full on bad guy since he crushed it in Expendables 3. But then again he could be the brother who dies. Who the fuck knows, Greg? Not us. Sounds like an original action movie, which there are far too few of nowadays. Fingers crossed for a theatrical release. Fingers crossed that theatrical releases still exist.
