The Chances For A 'Halloween Kills' Super Bowl Trailer Just Dropped From Slim to None
The question still remains today......who the fuck allows a serial killer to wear his mask in jail?
Anyways, sad Michael Myers here reflects my hopes and dreams as it appears we will not after all be receiving a 'Halloween Kills' trailer during the Super Bowl.
There was (purely) speculation earlier this week that 'Kills' could possibly drop, considering Universal almost always has a trailer during the big game and was already planning on releasing their 'Fast and the Furious 9' spot beforehand but THR has basically Sartain stomped all our dreams.
THR reported today that while many studios are sitting out the ads during the actual game itself (due to a price tag of a whopping $5.6 million per 30 second ad) Universal was still planning to run a trailer; However, that trailer appears to be a repeat of 'Fast and the Furious 9' after all.
Also airing will be Illumination's 'Minions: Rise of the Gru'. Decent trade off am I right? Fuck me in the face with an aardvark.
So, the trailer date remains ever elusive and it's looking more and more possible we may have to wait until June again as that is the month 2018's 'Halloween' trailer aired. I predict a trailer drop sooner however, considering test screenings and reshoots pushed the 2018 film back, likely delaying its trailer as well.
That is ofcourse if the upcoming test screenings go well. Here's a video we did about them on our youtube channel if you want the pumpkiny fresh scoop.
